"Blessed" does not begin to express...
Why this verse?
God imbedded this verse deep into my heart when I was going through my battle with breast cancer. I truly feel that I was made for the purpose of glorifying my Savior...in good times AND in bad. This cancer experience allowed my faith to be tested, my testimony to be tried, and ultimately my Savoir to be glorified. So, yes, I will glory in my infirmities, my heartaches, my trials, because Christ deserves the glory!
Why VICTORY IN VIRTUE?
This is the title that the Lord gave to me seemingly out of no where. I had this idea of a website and a blog for over a year, but could never feel a peace with a name for it all. I had just about given up when one day in November of 2014, God suddenly laid it on my heart out of the blue. Isn't that just like the Lord? It is usually when we give up on handling things our own way, after struggling for so long, that we become still enough to hear His voice..."NOW are you ready to listen?" And listen I shall...patiently, intently, one day at a time!
The Bible tells us over and over again how we are to think on things that pure, love one another, put others before ourselves, put away foolish pride, be holy for God is holy. And yet, all of these attributes that contribute to the building of good character are hard to find in our self-serving dishonorable, disrespecting culture today.
Our society has been on a steady decline in the areas of morality and Godliness in recent years. The time where being a person of virtue is no longer the norm. It is so important that we take a stand and teach the next generation that they, too, can and MUST be a light in this darkening world. I want people to realize that you can find such VICTORY IN VIRTUE !!
MY LIFE VERSE
II Corinthians 12:9
And He said unto me,
"My grace is sufficient
for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ
may rest upon me."
