dedicated them to the Lord, promising to raise them in HIS honor and admonition. And now as they are grown, we give them back to Him. We know that He will be with them to lead, guide and direct their steps as they travel down the straight and narrow path...going out to shine the light of Jesus in this world that is so desperately in need of Him.
Mike and I have been blessed far beyond what we had imagined so many years ago when we started our family. Scott, Kyle and Holly have grown up to be such wonderful, intelligent, respectful, wise Christian men and woman of character, and we are so proud of them. We are so thankful that they have kept the strong ideas, morals and values that we have worked so hard to teach them...never wavering. We

from it." Proverbs 22:6
Children are not casual guests in our
home. They have been loaned to us temporarily for the purpose of loving them and instilling a foundation of values on which their future lives will be built.

"Children are an heritage of the Lord."
Psalms 127:3
"Children learn more by the consistent steps
They watch their parents take each day,
And character is built by the example of deed
More than in the words they say."

How blessed I am to have married my best friend!!! We have a saying, based off of our song..."Through the Years - Forever and Always" and that has always been so true. We have been through so much together since our union in 1988. We have seen many wonderful miracles of God from salvation to the births of our children. We have been through some very hard times as well, from a wife with cancer to the loss of a husband's mother. And through it all, we knew that we had each other! We love, care and respect one another, just as Christ instructed a husband and wife to do. We both know that the reason our marriage is so strong is because we built it on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ!
"And the Lord God said, It is not good that
the man should be alone; I will make him an
help meet forhim." Genesis 2:18
"And they twain shall be one flesh: so then
they areno more twain, but one flesh. What
therefore Godhath joined together, let not
man put asunder." Mark 10:8-9
"...let every one of you in particular so love
his wife even as himself; and the wife see
that shereverence her husband."
Ephesians 5:33
I am so thankful that our family has stayed so close through the years. We all have put a priority on being there for each other...in good times to celebrate accomplishments, and in bad times when any one may need a shoulder to cry on. We have always done everything together...including tailgating at Clemson home games and vacationing together. Even with the kids now grown, we continue with family traditions....including annual Valentine's Dinner and "snack & sack." But most importantly, our family worships the Lord together in church and at home, in deed and in song. I am so very blessed to be the wife and mother of this awesome family!
Show me a family that always...
laughs and loves together,
supports and shelters one another,
plays and prays together,
encourages and exhorts each other...
shares in sorrows and sadness together...
sees the same vision and values as the other
and I will show you a family who has set
God as their priority and put Him in the
center of their family life! - Cindy Perry
